Does a bot join my meetings?
No. Protokol never joins your calls. Do you train AI models on my meetings?
No. Your recordings, transcripts and summaries are never used to train or improve any model — not ours, and not a vendor’s. Transcription runs on your own computer, and the only thing sent to an AI provider is the text needed to write your summary for you. Your clients’ conversations are your record, not our training data.
Where is my client data stored, and is it secure?
On the free plan your recording is transcribed on your own computer and never uploaded at all. Anything we do store, such as transcripts, summaries and recordings you choose to archive, sits on EU-Central infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest, with row-level isolation so no firm can ever see another’s records. Data handling is GDPR-aligned, and every meeting carries a consent log as part of its record.
Do you train AI models on my meetings?
No, and we never will. Protokol does not use your audio, transcripts, summaries or client records to train or improve any model, our own or anyone else’s. The AI providers that process meeting content for us are on paid API tiers whose terms prohibit them from training on what we send, and prohibit human review of it. This is a permanent commitment rather than a setting you have to find and switch off. Every company that touches meeting content on our behalf is named in our subprocessor register.
Which meeting platforms does it work with?
Any of them. Protokol doesn’t join the call, so it works the same way whether the meeting happened on Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, or in person — record it with the desktop app, upload the file, or paste in the transcript.
